There are several ways to participate in the #BeTheBrewer contest and they’re all on different time scales. You can vote for the beer style for the winning beer, submit a name, and design the beer label. All are entries into the contest.

The 5 grand-prize winners from those stages will help brew the beer in Olds during mid-March. Then all invited to the launch party of the beer.

Here’s ABF President Bill Robinson explaining more about the contest. Full details here.

During the evening, guests were able to try out some of the food available at Beer Revolution as well.

One of the pizzas we tried was the Armin. Ingredients include sundried tomatoes, red onion, spinach, artichoke hearts, carrot, fontina, mozzarella, roasted tomato & basil pesto, toasted pine nuts and balsamic reduction.

Yes, pine nuts on a pizza is amazing, and they were not stingy with it! It went perfectly with the craft beer we tried.

Other menu items we’d love to try upon our return include the Bavarian pretzel, and the Bahn mi pizza. They have a 2 for 1 pizza special daily after 9pm, plus many other drink and food item promotions.

Instagrammer @jensnoms poses by the balloon wall during the launch party.

Another fun item during the launch was the balloon wall. There’s many Instagram stories posted by attendees.
