This City Plants Bikes for Clean Air
An initiative in Edmonton is sure to make you pedal for sustainability. It’s planting bikes for clean air.
The city of Edmonton proclaimed June 3rd as Clean Air Day. To promote the event, a moss bus stop and several moss bikes were placed throughout Downtown Edmonton.
The city aimed to encourage motorists to be idle free, use alternative modes of transportation, plant a tree, learn how to improve indoor and outdoor air quality, as well as for organizations to become a member of the Alberta Capital Airshed. June is also bike month in Edmonton.
The bikes can be found along Jasper Avenue at the Shaw Conference Centre, 104 street, 107 street, and in front of City Hall along with the moss bus stop.
This is snazzy! I love to bike around town. Hopefully the LRT will extend to the deep southwest in the years to come! Then I can go to the #yegexpo from my house!
