Olympic Torch Run Through Edmonton

The longest domestic torch run in Olympic history took place for the Vancouver 2010 winter Olympic games. At every scheduled stop there were celebrations to bring the nation together for a sporting event which changed the Canadian identity for the better. We’re sorry all right, sorry that we kick ass!

The torch came through Edmonton on January 13, 2010, less than one month before the February 12 opening ceremonies. After a journey along historic Jasper Avenue, it went into Churchill Square for a fireworks celebration. You can view the video during the Edmonton leg here and photos here.
