“The Wizardry of Worthington” features music from the magical mind of a crafty composer, Trent Worthington. For several decades, this local composer has brought great joy to choruses and audiences. His music is clever, brilliant, fresh, humourous, sincere and honest. EdMetro Chorus is honoured to be the first chorus to present an all-Worthington concert. (one hour; no intermission).

I CORISTI CHAMBER CHOIR | ISLES OF SONG
Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 10037 – 84 Avenue, EDMONTON
I Coristi presents a variety of works by 20th- and 21st-century British composers, including James MacMillan (Scotland), Paul Mealor (Wales), Charles Stanford (Ireland), John Rutter (England) and more.  The Celtic folk tradition takes over in the second half of the concert with music by Michael McGlynn and the Irish Mass by Gilles Mathieu.

The Schola Cantorum of St Joseph’s Basilica will present a sequence of readings and carols for Advent to help you prepare for the coming of Christ.

The University of Alberta Mixed Chorus will be preforming a selection of our repertoire in the Alberta Legislature Building at the Light Up the Legislature Ceremony on December 3 at 4pm. It’s sure to be a wonderful night of beautiful music and twinkling lights! Cookies and hot chocolate are (usually) served after the ceremony.

This annual Christmas concert will feature the sounds of Jubiloso! Bells of Concordia (handbell ringers), the Edmonton Metropolitan Chorus and the Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton!

ProCoro – ConSept provides a late evening meditation during the busy season of Advent, with David Lang’s spare yet incredibly fulfilling Little Match Girl Passion. Introduced by the Dean of All Saints’ Cathedral, the Very Rev. Neil Gordon, this one hour candlelight performance showcases a quartet of singers who also play the glockenspiel and other percussion instruments.
