Chinese Fondue at Urban Shabu

If you’ve never had this Asian dish called by many names, then you’re truly missing out on one of the best foods to eat in a winter city like Edmonton. Called hot pot by many, shabu shabu by Japanese, Chinese fondue by some Hong Kong yuppies, you can’t go wrong with selecting a broth and cooking the food you want right at the table. There might not be cheese nor chocolate, but the fun and price is well worth the visit even on a hot summer night.

Urban Shabu is the second establishment for the Urban China group. Urban China is a Chaozhou-influenced Cantonese Restaurant. Urban Shabu and Urban China are no longer in business, and the owners have retired.
