Occupy Protests Reach Capital Region

Few people know that the entire Occupy movement started when a student artist decided to protest in the nude on Wall Street (a picture can be found in the Journal about a month before it became mainstream). Since Bloomberg owns the media, they decided to have a media black out of the event. That backfired because of the power of the internet, and the rest is history. Across the world in late 2011, Occupy protests could be found happening in every city of the free world. For Edmonton, the protest was marching down Jasper Avenue on October 15, 2011.
